I once met a man who said that since we have the Statue of Liberty on the East Coast we should have a Statue of Responsibility on the West Coast.

Think about it. What else would you need if you had both a sense of freedom and a sense of commitment. You’d have it all.

In reality it is hard to find any sense of freedom in you don’t have a sense of responsibility. That is just the nature of the beast. Freedom without responsibility is quickly lost for a lack of stewardship, and responsibility without freedom is quickly abandoned for a lack of joy.

But you can stand on two legs, can’t you.

So stand on freedom and responsibility.
